HOA Day Spotlight: Digging Into the Heart of Atlanta

As the week of Hands On Atlanta Day has arrived, we’d like to feature a different volunteer area each day as we lead up to Saturday. Each organization we spotlight this week will be tied into one of the projects that MBUSA employees volunteer at on Saturday.

Today’s focus is on the Dunwoody Nature Center.

MBUSA is going outside of the busy city to see the hidden treasures Atlanta has to offer. MBUSA employees are going to Dunwoody Nature Center to lend a helping hand and explore everything they have to offer.

Dunwoody Nature Center is a nonprofit organization geared toward both children and adults. Their goal is to inspire the love of nature and cultivate environmental understanding and stewardship. Dunwoody Nature Center offers various camps, nature classes, hiking adventures, concerts, plant sales, and family animal encounters.  Their calendar is packed year round with fun activities for anyone in the Atlanta area. With over 25,000+ park visitors every year, there is no shortage of friendly faces. Dunwoody Nature Center has given so much over the past 20 years, MBUSA employees are looking forward to the opportunity to give back.

Dunwoody Nature Center’s main goal is to preserve and protect Dunwoody Park. MBUSA employees are going to help maintain their environmental learning center by removing invasive plants, spreading mulch, and clearing walking trails. With many more visitors coming this year, MBUSA looks forward to helping keep Dunwoody Nature Center beautiful.
