Aug 19, 2019 Company Miles: Eric Paige
We’re thrilled to recognize Eric Paige, training and development specialist, as he celebrates 15 years with MBUSA.
Here’s Eric’s story:
How did you get your start with Mercedes-Benz?
I came from the dealer world. I had worked for the Park Place dealers in Texas for more than 20 years, and I was shop foreman at the time. One of our MBUSA co-workers came to me one day and mentioned a job opening for a trainer in California. He thought I would be really good at it. I took the ball and ran with it. Fifteen years later, here we are.
What positions have you held with MB?
I have been a technical trainer, team leader, instructional designer, and now I’m a training and development specialist.
What can you tell us about your position?
My job is brand new, and that is one of the most exciting things to me. David Young (Supervisor, Technician Recruitment, Development and Retention) created this position, and working with this team is probably the best part of my job.
Our team goal is to help solve the technician shortage. I have always been engaged with recruitment and retention of technicians, and this is a passion of mine.
What is the best part about being on the MBUSA team?
I had a kidney transplant six years ago, and I can’t thank the company and my coworkers enough. If anyone has a question about our benefits, I’m happy to tell them just how great they are!
