Here’s to a Successful Volunteer Week!

Here’s to a Successful Volunteer Week!

Another wonderful volunteer week is in the books! Last month, from April 17 to 24, we joined the country in celebrating National Volunteer Week, giving us an opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, organizations and community partners.

At MBUSA, we went #MercedesAllIn and offered a full menu of virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities. From helping students with homework to celebrating Earth Day, let’s check out all we accomplished:

  • Provided 152 volunteer hours which equals $4,335 ($28.54 per hour) to our local communities
  • Served cool desserts at a pep rally ice cream social for more than 500 students, teachers and staff at Miles Elementary and Hollis Innovation Academy – check out all the fun with Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley here
  • Spruced up more than 30 trees along three blocks on the Westside with the Parts Logistics team and Trees Atlanta
  • Hosted a “Get to Know CSR” session for internal colleagues
  • Launched the Inaugural Star Volunteer Awards to spotlight coworkers who go above and beyond in their community
  • Held a United Way of Greater Atlanta “Board Best Practices” session for management serving on nonprofit boards
  • Hosted a “Why Volunteerism” discussion with Rocket Social Impact to showcase the benefits of donating your time

If you have questions or wish to process a matching gift donation to a nonprofit of your choice, contact the CSR Team.

Way to go #MercedesAllIn! Check out photos from the week below.
