Our Shining Star Award Program was created to celebrate the best of our best. Each quarter, Department Managers, in partnership with the area General Manager, have the opportunity to nominate one or more team members who have made an extraordinary contribution in the previous quarter and who exemplify one or more of the “Time to Shine” mindset behaviors. Click here to review the contribution categories and mindset behaviors.

Melanie Alt, Special Projects, Network Development & Special Projects
Melanie has been effectively performing two full-time roles in the second half of 2021 – for the Project 85+ and Network Development Teams. Her outstanding ‘double-duty’ contributions have been, and continue to be, key to the ongoing success in both areas, and she is a role model for the attributes of ‘Makes a Difference’ as a Shining Star at Mercedes-Benz USA. 

Wynn Springer, Supervisor Brand Experience Marketing
Wynn has led three major efforts to help launch the EQS, including a 20-city test drive tour which will result in over 10,000 test drives across the U.S. Simultaneously, he has opened a New York City Mercedes-EQ pop up store and will soon launch a second store in Los Angeles. He is one of the heroes behind our EQS launch. Ashley Epperson, Brand Marketing, Media Supervisor
Ashley is responsible for the media planning and strategy for MBUSA passenger cars. With 2021 proving to be more challenging than ever before, Ashley showed amazing tenacity and attention to detail with selecting the right media partners who could not only deliver the maximum impact, but also provide amazing value-add programs and support for the test drive tour. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to everything she tackles shines through – making her a true Shining Star!

Patrick Tam, Aftersales Operations Manager, Western Region
Patrick Tam, WER Parts and Service Process Manager, has continuously accepted additional responsibilities within the Region. Along with his daily responsibilities, he has assisted with employee development, customer/dealer service, and taking the lead on several regional initiatives. Through all of the additional work Patrick has accepted, he continues to perform at a high level. His commitment in executing the task of PSPM, AOM responsibilities and taking the lead for regional initiatives exemplifies an employee who is a Shining Star all while driving our North Star strategy.

Jesse Londono, Field Technical Services, Xentry Hard/Software Analyst
Jesse has displayed great leadership supporting our Team @ UHD. The Support Center logged a record number 1,996tickets in October. Jesse led the team to decrease their response time from 1.9 days to 1.4 days from the previous month. During this time, Jesse also supported and trained a new team member. Thank you, Jesse, for all your support!

Ian Brissette, National Strategic Retail Training Manager, MB Academy
Ian demonstrated a “Time to Shine” mindset, by persevering, innovating and working through numerous challenges to deliver a “best in class,” dynamic learning experience, highlighting our all-new AMG SL, as well as Maybach and EQ products. He worked tirelessly and should be applauded for his exceptional efforts. Ian, we are so proud of you. Thank you for making our brand shine even more!
