Today around the globe, we celebrate and commemorate the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women. There are many influential women that have driven the success of Mercedes-Benz throughout history with one of the most notable being Bertha Benz.
After a few years of setbacks, Bertha Benz decided to launch her own plan B and show how useful her husband’s invention really could be through a combination of curiosity and sheer determination. In 1888, she became the first person to drive an automobile a noteworthy distance, leading to a pivotal moment in the automotive industry.
